Product detailed description

SUPERIOR Bio Matcha A+++ – the best lot we were able to buy

This is not a routine restock. SUPERIOR Bio Matcha A+++ is the finest matcha we were able to secure this season – a single-cultivar Samidori from Kyoto Prefecture in Japan, from the first spring harvest. It reached our warehouse in excellent condition and we are releasing it exactly as it came.

✔ Only 5,000 tins – more could not be bought

The entire lot is 5,000 tins and it is in stock now. More was simply not available to buy. Once it is gone, the next lot will be a different harvest with a different profile – so if this tea is to carry your brand, this is the moment to secure the volume.

✔ Cultivar Samidori

Samidori gives a deep green colour and a naturally sweet, silky texture with a clean umami finish and no bitterness or astringency. The amino acids the leaves develop under shading are exactly what you taste as that sweetness.

✔ Guaranteed: hand-picked topmost leaves, ground on stone mills

Two things we guarantee about this lot. Only the topmost leaves were picked, and picked by hand. And the tencha was ground on traditional stone mills – slow, cool grinding that protects the colour and the aroma. It is the reason a stone-ground matcha tastes different from an industrially milled one.

✔ Maximum amino acid content and energy

SUPERIOR reaches the highest amino acid content in our entire range – above all L-theanine – and gives maximum energy. Ideal for focus, meditation and long-lasting vitality without the jitters.

✔ In excellent condition

The tea is in excellent condition. Every lot goes through laboratory testing and we publish the results openly – see quality.kyosun.com.

✔ Certified organic and kosher

Certified organic under CZ-BIO-002 and kosher. Certificates and specifications are available on request for your own audit.

✔ Recommended retail price from EUR 55

For a lot of this grade we recommend a retail price of at least EUR 55 per 30 g tin. A first-harvest single-cultivar matcha priced like a commodity is hard to bring back up later – and it devalues the tea for everyone else selling the same lot. The final price is of course entirely yours to set.

✔ Supplied as a plain tin, without labelling

The same tea in the same 30 g tin, delivered unlabelled. It is meant for buyers who apply their own labelling in-house or have it done elsewhere; labelling that meets the food-information rules of the destination market is the buyer's responsibility. If you would rather we applied your label before dispatch, order code P107 instead.

If you print the labels yourself, the tin takes a label of 185 × 29 mm + 3 mm bleed, CMYK, supplied as PDF, AI or another vector format.

✔ Who this lot is for

  • brands that label and pack in-house
  • tea houses and specialist retailers
  • luxury hotels, spas and restaurants
  • traditional tea ceremony – usucha and koicha
