FAQ – Kyosun Matcha & Private Label

Quick answers about origin, quality & testing, artwork & branding, packaging, ordering & logistics, and payments. Everything important in one place.

Origin & offering

Where does your matcha come from?
Exclusively from Japan — typically the regions of Shizuoka, Aichi and Kagoshima. We keep full batch traceability and protocol records.
What grades do you offer?
We offer five grades: B+, B++, A+, A++, A+++.
  • B+/B++ — culinary & barista use.
  • A+ — higher barista quality.
  • A++ — premium quality for preparation and tastings.
  • A+++ — ceremonial top tier.
Do you also offer conventional (non‑organic) matcha?
Yes. Alongside organic (EU Organic, JAS) we also provide conventional matcha — labels always state the type clearly.
Can I request samples?
Yes — sample sets by grade/batch are available on request. We will recommend the best fit for your use case (latte, usucha/koicha, manufacturing).

Quality & testing

What tests do you run on each batch?
Every batch is tested for pesticides, heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Hg, As), microbiology (E. coli, yeasts & moulds, total plate count) and PAHs. For selected lines, the NIPH/SZÚ issues a Health Safety Certificate.
Do you provide Organic/JAS certificates?
Yes. Depending on the product we provide EU Organic (and JAS where relevant). For B2B partners we can supply a complete audit pack (NIPH/Organic/HACCP/ALS).
Can I obtain the lab reports for a specific batch?
Yes — we archive reports per batch for immediate retrieval. On request we send both a summary and the full PDFs.

Artwork & branding

How should I prepare print files?
Ideally PDF/X‑4, scale 1:1, 300 dpi, 2–3 mm bleed, fonts outlined. Templates and a "Print File Guide" are available in each product detail.

For 30 g tins we provide a basic label template from 100 pcs free of charge.

Can you adapt my artwork?
Yes — from minor pre‑press fixes to a complete design (based on your brand book or created from scratch).
Can you create a complete brand?
Yes — logo, colours, type, labels, mini brand guide. Includes up to 3 rounds of feedback; scope is quoted based on your brief.
Who is responsible for legal texts on labels?
The customer. We check technical pre‑press conformity before printing and can advise on labelling best practices.

Packaging

Do you offer eco‑friendly bags?
Yes — fully recyclable doypacks and 2 g sachets (BOPP). Details and MOQs are listed on product pages.
What formats do you supply?
Standard formats are doypacks 30–1000 g and tins 30 g. Other options (sleeves, full‑colour print, special materials) are available on request.
