About Us – The Kyosun Story

Authentic Japanese matcha in Europe since 2012

The company Kyosun s.r.o. was founded in 2012 with a clear vision: to bring authentic Japanese matcha tea to Europe—a beverage that unites flavor, craftsmanship, and tradition.

From day one, we have worked directly with renowned farmers in Japan. On shaded tea gardens at the foot of Mount Fuji, tea leaves develop a vivid emerald hue and a delicate umami taste. Every harvest is carefully inspected and we ship our matcha by air to preserve freshness and aroma.

2024 – strategic milestone: we became custodians of 20 hectares of tea fields in Japan, with further expansion planned in 2026. This gives us full control over the entire process—from cultivation and harvest to processing and packaging. It enables us to guarantee the origin, quality, and transparency of every pack.

✅ Tested & Certified

Every batch undergoes tests for pesticides, heavy metals, and microbiology. Our products carry organic certification and meet strict European standards.

No compromise on quality

🌱 Sustainability

We use FSC‑certified packaging and actively reduce our carbon footprint. Matcha is stored in temperature‑controlled facilities to preserve freshness and flavor.

Respect for origin and planet

💡 Innovation

We were the first in Europe to introduce 2 g matcha servings for everyday preparation. We constantly explore new ways to use matcha in gastronomy and manufacturing.
